HD Project Livewire Experience Tour: Rides are Invite Only

No doubt you’ve heard about the Livewire tour.  Here’s the thing.  Though it’s billed as a “See it, ride it, tell us what you think” event, the “ride it” part is by invitation only.  As the Boston dealer told me, you can show up and watch, and check out the bike, but you won’t be able to ride it.  It’s a tough bit of ad copy:

The Project LiveWire Experience begins a 30-city tour across America starting June 24th in New York City, where riders will be invited to take a historic ride. The first few stops have been announced below and the full 2014 US tour schedule will be announced in the next week.

…and I feel like there are going to be some sorely disappointed would-be fans, but like so many things in this world, it wasn’t my call.

  1. I hope they go back on this decision – or at very least allow walk-ons if bikes are available. The trailer looks like it has a TON of bikes ..

    • I count at most 20 bikes in that shot, more like 15, though who knows? I have heard, however, they have a simulator there too. That oughta be interesting.
