Power in Flux excerpt: The Blade (ElMoto.net)

Ely Schless is arguably the Father of Electric Motorcycles.  There, I said it.  How can I say such a thing?  Read the chapter, excerpted here on ElMoto.net: Power in Flux excerpt: The Blade

I don’t think there’s any story in the book that better tells the story of the convergence of technology than Ely’s.  In around 1995 he built electric cars, stumbled on a bicycle front shock that intrigued him.  He coupled that with a new electric motor from John Fiorenza and Briggs and Stratton, launched an electric motorcycle company (or three), and went on to dangle his bikes in front of the guys who would start Zero, Brammo, Quantya and, oh yeah, KTM.  …all because of a bicycle fork.

Enjoy!
