Battery Pack for CBRe: Nissan Leaf (for example)

11kW

I love it when someone does maths for me.  So here’s the Nissan modules built into a pack, rated at 12kwh, via Hybrid Auto Center.

These things are about 9×12″, and about 1.4″ thick, so this pack is, round numbers, 9 x 12 x 34″.  It weighs 211lbs.

So, at a voltage of 182V, and 60ah, seems like it’s a good fit, electrically-speaking.  Price?  $2,985.00.  Seems like a slam-dunk.

  1. I suspect it may be way too heavy for your little 600 chassis. The volume doesn’t look too imposing, but it will make for a rather heavy ride.

  2. 96kg is rather heavy for a 600. My electric YZF600R conversion has a 50kg 70Ah 74V pack, it just squeezes in. You will have to lose a lot of weight somewhere on the bike.
