Triumph rider Bobby Goodin died in what seems like a freak accident yesterday after finishing the race. As reported in Motorsport.com, Goodin lost control of his bike after crossing the finish line.
I’m finding it kind of hard to stomach a lot of the race results chatter online from members of the electric community, even from legit news sources without even so much of a nod to this man, but I’m a motorcycle rider first, above all else I yabber on about here. The larger motorcycle community and the hill-climber community certainly is taking notice of the loss.
My condolences to his friends and family.
Oh, and yeah, Jeff Clark finished first among the three electric motorcycles that ran, and was the first to break 12 minutes in the Production Electric class on a Zero from Hollywood Electrics. I’m sure you can read all about it somewhere else.
