Through a strange twist of internets fate, I found a thread about the Springfield Museum and how they were looking for the Corbin Land Speed Record motorcycle, ca 1973.  I shot Mike an email and he answered: “Quick Silver ” lives with Ken Weger, @ Small Wonders. The name’s an inside joke.  The batteries were silver-zinc… remarkable technology, but expensive.  NASA-expensive.  Small Wonders is the Small Wonders Microcar Museum, in Crystal Lake, IL.

This came from my post about my visit to the Springfield Museums, here.

So I did some digging, and found this video – they talk mostly about the cars, including the Sparrow (getting refitted with lithium soon, as the Sparrow 2), but don’t mention the bikes. You can see them in the background, though.

And how would this post be complete without a shot (by Ernie Mills) from Mike’s drive of the Sparrow in this September’s climb of Mt Washington?
